Aviation weather

Search stations by name or ICAO code, compare up to three forecasts and view precipitation on the map.

Forecasts and observations

Station forecasts are model guidance, not TAFs. Check the source and valid time. Precipitation maps distinguish radar from forecasts and show each model's resolution and rainfall interval.

QNH

The QNH panel identifies a published regional value or a station-based estimate, with its source, validity and coverage. Follow the applicable national procedures.

Before flight

Obtain a current aviation weather briefing and check NOTAMs. Missing observations or forecasts do not indicate good flying weather.

Sources

Forecast maps use DWD ICON-EU or ICON global. Their resolution and rainfall intervals differ; cloud forecasts have separate coverage. Zooming does not add model detail. VFRAID is not an official weather source.
